The Weaver Short Aluminum Control Core is the central regulating component of the oil control valve assembly. Known by OEM reference S-11116, this core is responsible for opening and closing the hydraulic paths that power the lift's pistons. It is a precision-machined aluminum cylinder that must fit perfectly within the valve bore to prevent oil bypass. When the core becomes scratched from debris in the hydraulic fluid or simply wears down from thousands of cycles, the lift may experience "creeping" where it slowly lowers even when the valve is closed.
