The SVI BH-7501-89 is a cable retainer bar designed to prevent lift cables from jumping out of their sheave grooves. This essential safety component is installed adjacent to the sheaves in the lift columns or runways. If a cable becomes slack—either during a lock engagement or if the lift is lowered onto an obstruction—the retainer bar keeps the cable securely positioned within the pulley groove. Without this bar, a cable could slip out and become wedged between the sheave and the hoist structure, causing severe damage or a dangerous lift failure.
